Mrs Millicent Summereasy Gin

Oh, Foligno, a place of joy, excitement, and an everlasting summer adventure! How would Millicent Ingram, the titular character from Szerb Antal’s “The Traveler and the Moonlight”, remember her time with the whimsical Hungarian knight, Mihály? What flavors and aromas would she capture in a bottle to evoke the essence of those hot Italian days?

When we began developing this concept, we knew that the essence had to be as light and airy as she is—we wanted every sip to carry the sparkling sunlight, the cloudless blue sky, and the breeze that constantly sweeps along the Italian coast. Mrs Millicent rarely feels melancholy; she sails carefree on the sea of life. With her, everything is simple, and for her, everything is summer-light—summereasy.

This summery mood is embodied in a new flavor variation: alongside the spices used in classic Mrs Millicent, we added a few new ones, and importantly, included not only the peels of bergamot and orange but also their juices, as well as lemon peel and juice as new ingredients.

The taste difference is immediately reflected in the bottle and packaging design: a transparent bottle with vibrant blue lettering, complemented by the salmon terracotta typical of Foligno and a citrus-inspired green, creating a unique visual identity. To further emphasize this, we designed two silk scarves with exuberant floral patterns, whose kaleidoscopic arrangements give them a fresh, modern feel. One scarf’s background takes on the green of bergamot, while the other evokes the walls of Foligno houses.
