Mrs Millicent Speakeasy UNFILTERED – without gift box

Sometimes you need to rebel to find your true self.

In Szerb Antal’s novel “The Traveler and the Moonlight”, which inspired the essence of Mrs Millicent gin, Mihály’s life took a turn when he met Millicent Ingram in Foligno. Who was he before that? An ordinary young gentleman from Buda with a declining marriage. The Italian adventure turned his comfortable, mundane life upside down—he plunged into the midst of existence and, at the heart of the whirlwind, discovered himself. The young American woman’s unfiltered nature and raw zest for life had a refreshing effect on him, pulling him out of his resignation.

That is exactly what the unfiltered gin does. It is an entirely new category, completely breaking away from the familiar—but that’s why we love Mrs Millicent: it never lets you be bored. “This isn’t perfume, darling! This is gin!” she would say, and the same could not be truer for the unfiltered version.

Being present during distillation is always a special experience, because when the first batch is ready, incredible aromas fill the air, and the spirit itself carries fuller, rounder flavors before filtration. We wanted to share this experience, so we bottled it directly after distillation.

The spices and fruits are the same—including cardamom, orange, and bergamot—but the effect is completely different. Due to its unfiltered nature, the gin is slightly opalescent and clears at room temperature.
